IET Faraday

The Institution of Engineering and Technology has launched the IET Faraday this month as a year-long educational initiative for pupils in key stages three and four. The aim is to enthuse young people in the world of science, engineering and technology.

From the end of September, the IET Faraday will be available to all schools as a programme of specially made films, online games, challenges, live events and an interactive website. Action packed FaraDay events are to be held during National Science and Engineering Week at incredible venues across the country. Involvement is free of charge.

This year the theme for the IET Faraday is ‘technology for life’ and will explore the technological innovations and developments in healthcare engineering. Our resources explore the themes of water, materials and prosthetics, telemedicine and robotics and biomedical signalling and highlight engineering’s vital contribution to society.
