Joule Boxes
Celebrating the world's most energetic scientist

An invaluable ‘After School Science Club’ resource

Joule Boxes cover four themes:

1. Light & Colour
2. Forces
3. Electricity & Magnetism
4. Materials

The boxes are designed to contain everything the busy class teacher needs to run an ‘Out-of-School’ Science/Technology Club. The boxes contain all the materials needed for 12 children working individually to carry out an investigation or try an exercise demonstrating a concept.

The Joule Boxes are available for hire. Each topic covers seven one-hour activities, which children are expected to work on at their own pace.

The hire costs are:

• £80 per topic (includes all consumable materials)
• £10 delivery and/or collection service available
We have 2 boxes available for each topic – ‘returnables’ and ‘consumables’. The actual cost of the ‘returnables’ that are not ‘returned’ is also charged.

Joule Boxes are fully supported by photographs, stimulus and instruction sheets and pro-forma cut-outs.

Joule Boxes are available to any school in Greater Manchester.
