The Greater Manchester STEM Centre challenges post-16 students to create a technological revolution!

Technology Challenge
6 - 10 July 2009:
Nine teams entered into the spirit of Science, Technology, and Engineering.

Mentors from
Analysis Mason, Atkins, Park Signalling, PBPower, United Utilities, and it was lovely to welcome back Warburtons from Bolton.

Technology Challenge is a science and engineering extravaganza held at the University of Manchester.

Participating shools this year were:

The projects were judged in two arenas and prizes awarded to the top two projects from each arena:

Arena A:
First Prize - Loretto College, Team 3
Second Prize - Sale Grammar, Team 2

Arena B:
First Prize - Canon Slade School, Bolton
Second Prize -
Sale Grammar, Team 1

All entrants received a silver BA Crest award and a rucsac style tote bag kindly arranged by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
