Annual competition for pupils aged 11-18 years old at school or college.

You can enter as an individual or as part of a team (maximum 4 members).

The challenge
Young Engineers challenges you to use your imagination to create, design and develop an original idea for a commercially viable device or system that meets a useful everyday need you have identified, it could be for a sporting activity, hobby or task at work or in the home, or for people with special needs - it could even be just a really great invention!

The opportunity
Taking part in this prestigious competition provides an opportunity to learn more about all aspects of engineering, as well as giving you essential practical, technical and marketing experience, while having a lot of fun putting your idea into practice. This will put you in good stead for a future career within this exciting industry. The competition also gives you the opportunity to win big cash prizes and fantastic trips abroad at the awards celebration dinner held each year at an esteemed venue.

Here's how to get started
Identify an everyday task or social need and dream up a creative solution to address your bright idea.
